Art in the Sand
The Idea
Exceptional challenges require unusual measures. And creativity, team spirit and motivation are success factors in our events. You can treat almost all topics in trainings and coachings. Our coaches relate directly to the desired and defined business context.
History of Sand Sculptures
Sand sculptures were already built in the ancient Egypt. The Egyptians created models made from tamped sand in order to calculate the angles and proportions of their constructions. In terms of being a form of art, sand sculpting has been known since the 1930s. At the time, the first contests were held at the beaches of the American West Coast. Gerry Kirk, an American from San Diego, developed the technique of compacting sand into special forms. This allowed his sculptures to be built up to hitherto undreamt heights. Today the current world record is at 21 m with a “shelf life” of two years. Nowadays there are sand festivals everywhere in the world. In August 2007 the first international sand festival took place in the Ruhrgebiet at the Kemnader lake.
Sand Sculptures as a Tool
makes your events, trainings, coachings and workshops more interesting, more varied and more efficient. In this context, this experience-oriented method is a chance when developing soft skills. You can relate to the business environment with almost all topics. This opens up chances for change.
